This part-time (17.3hrs) post is available immediately on a permanent basis, based primarily from the Forum Service Yard
Summary of the role
The Forum Complex is at the heart of our beautiful Streatham Campus and is often buzzing with activity. The Forum Service Yard is critical to many internal and external stakeholders’ operations, including Forum and Great Hall events. This is a rewarding position, requiring good people skills, integrity and professionalism.
You will take joint ownership of the Service Yard and will be responsible for overseeing deliveries, event vehicles, contractor access, waste management and vehicle access. You will ensure that the service yard is clean, safe, and well maintained, raising any issues with your line manager or campus services as they arise. You will build good relationships with key partners in Campus Services, Estate Patrol and event teams.
You will also be required to complete Facilities Assistant (porter) tasks across the Forum Complex, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
There will be opportunities to complete training, including Forklift and fire marshal training as part of this role and you will get to know many different people at the university. You will be joining a great team that work together to deliver high profile events and an excellent student experience.
The normal working pattern for this role is likely to be 13:20-17:00 Monday to Friday.
