A reputable organisation within the Aviation space is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Supply Chain Specialist to join their team in Fareham on a 6-month contract.
In this role, you'll play a pivotal role in projects in a developing area of air traffic management, managing complex supply chain activities and delivering measurable value improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead end-to-end supply chain activities and projects, ensuring alignment with company governance, policies, and category strategies.
2. Develop and implement business-wide category strategies, identifying opportunities to deliver measurable cost, risk, and performance improvements.
3. Oversee and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
4. Build and nurture collaborative relationships up to Head of Department level.
5. Align supply chain activities with strategic goals while mentoring less experienced team members.
6. Manage major contracts (up to £5m), particularly in software and complex systems procurement.
7. Operate dynamically within sprints and adapt to the pace of a large, innovative organisation.
Job Requirements:
1. Extensive category management and procurement experience within blue-chip and FTSE 100 companies.
2. Expertise in complex software system procurement.
3. Strong background in regulated industries.
4. Experience managing long-term supplier relationships.
5. Ability to navigate complex systems.
6. Agile and dynamic approach to problem-solving.
7. Degree/MBA qualified.
8. CIPS qualified or actively working towards.
