Our client is a well-established, fast-growing European market-leading specialist in sustainable manufacturing services and partner to major OEMs, such as Ford, JLR, and many others. They are an entrepreneurial business, committed to driving continuous improvement and strategic development throughout the business and now wish to appoint a new Manufacturing Engineer. Due to the nature of their work being supplied to OEMs, they comply with the highest quality standards, meaning it is a "best practice" environment. This smaller, more entrepreneurial company offers a unique place to gain a very broad set of skills, including commercial, customer-facing, technical, and true engineering-based problem-solving. They pride themselves on mentoring and developing their people, fostering a culture where you will be expected to take ownership, make decisions, and stand on your own feet.
You will become the subject matter expert within your field and take responsibility for ongoing process development, supporting new product introduction (NPI) and change management of production processes. They have won a significant new contract and have others due to land in the near future, offering the right person a real opportunity to add value to the business.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your role will also support the maintenance of a variety of engineering activities for current production programs to ensure compliance with customer-specific and business requirements.
You will be a key member of several team-based activities, including Daily production, FRC, FMEA, CIP, and 8D meetings.
You will be responsible for the following:
Skills/Experience
* Outstanding organizational skills, incorporating modern technological and administrative functions/systems.
* Ability to explain design ideas supported by drawings and plans clearly, incorporating them into professional operational and/or business reports.
* Experience coordinating, supporting with detailed accurate drawings, and overseeing the manufacture of special purpose tools and components, designing jigs and fixtures using CAD.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly developing business in a high-profile role and will undoubtedly offer the successful applicant an ongoing opportunity for personal career development.
