The exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Library Supervisor in Oban Library. To assist Service and Support Manager to deliver a quality, customer focused service to the public by effectively and efficiently managing the library, including the team of Library Assistants, the information services and the People’s Network.
Responsible for the day to day management of the Library. Dealing with customer enquiries and requests, including issuing and discharge of stock items.
Provide customer ICT support. Managing the receipt and processing of new stock. Managing daily income and banking.
Maintain and monitor statistics. Arrange staff timetables, rotas, holidays and workloads (including cover for absence). Delivering BookBug sessions and other junior and author events.
Establishing and maintaining links with local schools and other organisations.
Ensure all staff follow LiveArgyll health and safety policies, standards and procedures.
This is a Temporary position working 10 hours per week on a pre arranged Rota and may include weekend working.
