The Surveillance Operator plays a crucial role in maintaining the parking regulations, safety, and security of our managed premises. This position involves monitoring surveillance equipment, identifying potential security threats, and ensuring a swift response to any incidents. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to write clear and concise reports.
This role mainly includes monitoring CCTV and issuing Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) to vehicles that have breached the terms and conditions of parking in private car parks.
Responsibilities
* Monitor live and recorded video feeds from surveillance cameras to detect suspicious activities or breaches of security and parking contraventions.
* Conduct regular reviews of recorded footage to identify any incidents that require further investigation.
* Maintain accurate records of surveillance activities and prepare detailed reports on incidents observed.
* Collaborate with security personnel to respond promptly to alarms or alerts.
* Ensure that all surveillance equipment is functioning correctly and report any malfunctions for repair.
* Stay updated on security protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.
* Provide assistance in training new staff on surveillance operations as required.
Skills
* Proficient in report writing, with the ability to document incidents clearly and effectively.
* Experience in surveillance operations, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and strong observational skills.
* Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous, enabling a quick response in emergencies.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with security technology and equipment is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
