SEN KS2 Primary Teacher Location : Torton, Kidderminster Contract Type : Full Time - Permanent Hours : 40 hours per week - 5 days Annual Salary : £31,650 - £45,646 (M1 UPS1) About the Role We are an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people, and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). As part of our growth strategy, we are excited to have recently opened a brand-new ASC/SEMH school in Torton, Kidderminster, for students aged 5-19. Were currently seeking a passionate, inspirational, and engaging SEN KS2 Primary Teacher to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a developing service and contribute to the lives of children with complex or anxiety-related needs. The Role As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to children aged 7-11 with SEMH and other complex needs. Some students may also present with challenging behaviours or multiple learning difficulties. We are looking for candidates with experience working with pupils with SEMH and/or ASC needs in either mainstream or specialist environments. The ideal candidate will primarily teach KS2 but should have the flexibility to teach other key stages if required. Key Duties : Deliver and develop the curriculum to meet the educational, physical, and social needs of students in a supportive environment. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. Maintain and utilise short, medium, and long-term plans in delivering lessons. Set, monitor, and review personalised targets to optimise student learning. Assess, review, and report on progress to parents, staff, and external bodies as required. Participate in the review of Statements, EHC plans, PEPs, and LAC reviews. Continue professional development through training and self-reflection. Plan lessons with consideration for individual needs and outcomes. Skills and Qualifications Essential : PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status, or equivalent teaching qualification with evidence of in-service training. Experience working with pupils with SEMH or ASC needs in either special or mainstream school environments. Desirable : Postgraduate diploma in SEN.
