Applicants are invited for a substantive Consultant post in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, with a specialist interest in Colposcopy. This is an exciting time to join the Countess within the Women and Children’s Division as we look to move into our new state of the art purpose-built facility in the Summer of. The successful candidate will join an existing team of 15 dynamic consultants.
We are looking for an outstanding colleague who will complement and enhance our services and provide leadership in areas of general Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as their specialist area of Colposcopy. We have a well established Colposcopy unit which offers outpatient diagnostic and treatment services.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for applicants with a special interest in Colposcopy, who can integrate well into the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department. You will be expected to deliver clinical excellence and demonstrate a strong commitment to multi-professional working.
You will need to demonstrate how your skill mix will help the department thrive and develop particularly within obstetrics. The candidate will be expected to participate in the on-call rota on a 1:12 basis. It is also expected that the successful candidate would take an active role in the various local, regional and national quality and safety agendas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, with opportunities over time to develop leadership skills.
