Description J.P. Morgan's Prime Derivatives Sales and Research Team is looking for a motivated individual to assist with the drafting and negotiating of ISDA documentation including collateral arrangements subject to the margin rules for non-cleared derivatives. As a successful candidate you will join an established team of lawyers and documentation specialists to draft, negotiate and execute a wide range of derivative documentation, including custodial arrangements, guarantees and any ancillary documents between JPMorgan and its counterparties. On this position you will be involved in frequent interaction with Sales, Credit, Client Service, Business Management and Operations internally and Clients externally. As a Prime Derivatives Sales and Research Team - Vice President in legal department you will also be responsible for coordinating Credit approvals, initiating Client documentation process with different production areas of the firm, and helping to resolve issues raised by Clients and the Business that relate to legal agreements as well as various other paralegal functions. Job responsibilities Drafts and finalize business specific agreements with Clients Processes completed agreements Attends to archiving of completed documents Is involved in internal system set up and establishing controls for credit and documentation tracking Assists with updating internal policies Required qualifications, skills and capabilities Previous derivative documentation experience (OTC derivatives experience necessary) Legal Degree (Masters Level or LPC equivalent) with at least 3 years' post-qualification legal experience (PQE) Strong attention to detail Polished verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills Must be literate in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) Ability to manage projects and work independently Team player, confident, and proactive
