As a teacher in this school, you will provide education and guidance to small class of students across KS3 who have a diagnosis of Autism (ASC) and associated difficulties. You will plan, design and deliver an innovative curriculum based on the complex needs of the learners. You will have the support of Teaching Assistants within the class who will work under your direction.
Although you will be responsible for planning lessons, students will attend classes with teachers who specialise in Maths, English, PE, Art and DT. The school has excellent on site leisure facilities set in beautiful grounds that you are encouraged to take full advantage of.
Working hours are:
* Monday – 08:30 – 16:00
* Tuesday – 08:30 – 16:00
* Wednesday – 08:30 – 16:30
* Thursday 08:30 – 16:00
* Friday – 08:30 – 15:30
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for the following:
* Teachers with QTS, ECT’s will be considered
* It would be beneficial for you to have experience working with SEN/SEMH but this is not essential if you understand how SEMH impacts students learnings
* The ability to cover a wide curriculum and differentiate lesson plans to suit all student needs
* A professional attitude with a solution focused approach
* Good behaviour management skills
This is a full time position, to start in January 2025.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
