UK HR Business Partner
12 month contract
Up to £350 per day - Inside IR35
5 days per week onsite in Banbury
An international client is looking to add an HR Business Partner to their UK operations, based in Banbury with potentially some travel to other sites fully expensed.
Responsibilities:
* To develop and implement HR and Payroll plans that support Brady’s objectives
* Management of the UK HR and Payroll function (two direct reports)
* To advise on company policy and procedures across the range of HR activities, ensuring that the legal framework underpinning our policies is adhered to. To maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary HR development theory and methods and provide suitable interpretation to managers and staff within the organisation. Helping managers and supervisors to understand the legal position and implement best practice.
* To challenge existing practices and help to introduce HR best practice to ensure that the function runs professionally and efficiently with a focus on continuous improvement.
* To ensure that the HR processes, practices, systems and records meet compliance requirements for all relevant legislation, regulations, audits and reviews.
* To operate as a true business partner across multiple site locations within the UK, building effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that managers and leaders are supported with HR plans.
* To manage the recruitment and onboarding process, conducting HR inductions.
* To ensure that training needs are identified and plans are in place, facilitating training courses across the UK sites as well as evaluating the effectiveness of training provision and apprenticeship levy spend.
* To manage the performance management process, ensuring the employees and managers are aware of and engaged in this in order to drive growth and performance improvement.
* To manage the provider of benefits such as insurances, healthcare, company cars and assistance programmes. To ensure that employee queries are resolved and that benefits are suitable for employee and business purposes.
* To assist with the roll out of HR initiatives within Brady UK, meeting high standards of quality, delivery and professionalism.
* To manage individual HR projects as required, with clearly agreed goals.
* To develop and maintain all UK HR Policies ensuring that these remain compliant with employment law.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES
* HR and legal knowledge for the UK.
* Ability to ensure high-quality service delivery with a disciplined mind set, excellent organisation skills and ability to work autonomously and set priorities.
* Solid communication skills to help employees to understand HR Policies and procedures, and the ability to converse at all levels within the business.
* Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience within a HR function
* Ideally CIPD qualified at Level 5
* Must be proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and email programs (Gmail).
