To work in collaboration with staff in care homes throughout Lanarkshire to promote safe, effective person centred care for residents within these establishments by disseminating knowledge & sharing clinical expertise to empower both users and providers of care.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
2. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
3. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
5. Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within speciality / area of practice.
6. Leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery.
7. Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
8. The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
9. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Effective time management skills
11. Working knowledge of basic information technology
12. A full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence

It would be great if you also have
13. Demonstrable post registration experience
14. Relevant expert practice within a community setting
15. Good understanding of care home sector
16. Knowledge of audit
17. Awareness of all NHS Lanarkshire policies, procedures & local guidelines
18. Understanding of person centred care
19. Basic IT skills; Word, Excel, Powerpoint
20. High level of clinical skills
21. Negotiation and motivational skills when dealing with key stakeholders
22. Experience of delivering group presentations to varying audiences using a variety of tools

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Care Home Liaison working in various care home settings, however base location will be Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters
