Job Summary:
As a Senior Environmental Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating environmental projects, providing accurate cost estimations, and supporting the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Analysis: Prepare accurate and detailed environmental cost estimates for projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainability initiatives.
Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and resources to ensure comprehensive cost planning.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the estimation process, developing strategies to mitigate financial and environmental risks in proposed projects.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all estimations are in line with environmental regulations, policies, and standards, maintaining the highest levels of sustainability compliance.
Bid Support: Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and bids, providing detailed and competitive pricing based on environmental best practices.
Market Research: Stay informed of industry trends, environmental technologies, and cost-saving strategies, leveraging market knowledge to develop accurate estimates.
Client Liaison: Engage with clients, providing advice and insights related to cost-effective and environmentally responsible solutions, while maintaining strong working relationships.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, stakeholders, and clients to support decision-making processes.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and supporting their professional development. Key Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in environmental estimating, with a strong background in energy services, renewable energy, or environmental engineering.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of environmental regulations, energy efficiency, renewable technologies, and sustainability practices.
Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret technical data and transform it into actionable cost estimates.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to clients and senior management.
Software Proficiency: Experience with estimation software and tools (e.g., ProEst, Estimator 360) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Degree: A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field is preferred.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, collaborate cross-functionally, and mentor junior staff. Desirable Attributes:

Familiarity with UK government policies on sustainability and climate change.
