Job Overview:
Are you an experienced E&I Technician looking to step off the tools and into a planning role? This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career. As an E&I Planner, you will spend approximately 90% of your time planning maintenance activities, with occasional hands-on work during outages. The ideal candidate will have experience in Oil & Gas, Chemical, FMCG or COMAH environments, with strong knowledge of permit to work processes, isolations, and risk assessment method statements (RAMS).

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the maintenance planning process to ensure efficient scheduling of work and resource allocation.
Develop and maintain a six-week maintenance execution plan, supporting interventions and TARs.
Ensure work orders are fully specified, with detailed Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) prepared.
Identify and arrange tools, equipment, and spares to ensure safe and on-time task execution.
Support the VMP (Vessel Maintenance Plan) to optimize production and minimize downtime.
Develop work packs, detailing parts, services, resource needs, duration, and cost data within the CMMS system.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Procurement, and Stores teams to ensure material availability.
Maintain and manage weekly/monthly performance metrics.
Assist in planning for shutdowns and outages, ensuring workflow efficiency.
Liaise with external contractors to meet 24/7 operational requirements.
Ensure all permit to work and isolation procedures are adhered to for safe execution of tasks.
Support compliance with ISO standards (45001, 14001, 5001, 9001) and the site's Major Accident Prevention Policy (MAPP).
Provide technical planning support for electrical and instrumentation maintenance, including pressure, flow, temperature, and level measurement systems.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities for calibration, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Ensure accurate documentation of loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and P&IDs.
Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ level 3 Qualified in a relevant discipline minimum
Previous exposure to an upper tier COMAH site, ideally Chemical or Pharma.
ATEX, DSEAR and / or Compex would be desirable.
Experience in maintenance planning.
Experience working with CMMS systems (AX Dynamics preferable)
Ability to interpret OEM manuals, data sheets and various other drawings in order to present the required information to the technicians to enable work execution
