As a technician, you will be working within a shift team based on the Late's, Earlies, and Night pattern (LEN) within the SCAT Operations department.
You will ensure compliance with customer and legislative requirements, giving due consideration at all times to Quality standards, EHS, and Sustainability.
You will apply knowledge of internal techniques and standards to assist with the overall improvement of products and processes in order to gain a competitive advantage.
Your responsibilities include:
1. Sampling catalysts, which includes, but is not limited to, oven ageing of parts, preparing samples, putting them on test rigs, removing samples, processing data (using a predefined macro), maintaining equipment, and carrying out team duties such as 5S, ordering, and projects to continuously improve the department.
2. Preparing samples and carrying out the assigned testing according to pre-defined quality standards and the testing schedule provided.
3. Following the defined operation, maintenance, and calibration procedures on a daily basis; liaising with the trainer/Shift Leader/Line Management to ensure these are followed to maintain testing quality and customer confidence.
4. Liaising with the trainer/Shift Leader as necessary to clarify any special test requirements.
5. Maintaining correct testing records using the iCAT log.
6. Rectifying any anomalies found upon result checks under the guidance of the Shift Leader.

Work experience in a similar or existing technical field is desirable.
