Stores Controller
The Opportunity:
If you have at least a year’s experience in a stores or warehouse based role, within a manufacturing, engineering or parts environment, then we have a great job available for you. This is a full time, permanent opportunity for somebody who is experienced in picking and packing in a busy stores or warehouse environment, is computer literate, able to follow instructions, find and pick spare parts, and distribute throughout this busy manufacturing business in mid Devon. Ideally you will be able to operate a forklift, even if your license has expired as the company will fund you to renew that.
The Role:
1. Picking, packing.
2. Receiving goods in and booking in deliveries.
3. Raising sales orders.
4. Forklift driving (training can be given).
5. Maintaining a computerised stock ledger.
6. Counting and checking stock.
7. Some lifting required.
8. Other activities include; COSHH, updating our on-line web shop, export documentation and general business administration.
Preferred Skills:
We are looking for someone from a stores environment willing to progress with a preferred mechanical or engineering background. The right person needs to be enthusiastic, self-motivated, show initiative and willing to take on a range of duties. You will be able to tick the following boxes:
1. Computer literate.
2. Eye for details.
3. Working knowledge of MS Office.
4. Full UK driving licence.
5. Good level of general education.
6. Mechanical / engineering background preferred but not essential.
Hours of Work: 07:45 - 17:00 Mon to Thurs, 08:30 - 12:30 Fridays (39 hours)
