An exciting opportunity to join the Technical Services department at Glenside campus, UWE Bristol. This role will be supporting the School of Health and Social Wellbeing, primarily Nursing (all fields) and Midwifery students due to cohort size, along with our other healthcare students including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Radiography, Physicians Associates and Paramedic Science.
This is a practical role, that is primarily student facing, you will report to the Technical Manager and be working with technical and academic colleagues to support and deliver clinical skills practical sessions, mandatory training and simulation activity, planning and preparation. As well as facilitating practical learning you will be helping to lesson plan, investigate and purchase equipment and simulation aids and assist with stock control and equipment maintenance.

You’ll be a registered healthcare professional, with an excellent clinical skills set, up to date knowledge in this area and recent clinical experience.

This is a full time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.
If you wish to work part time, due to the nature of the role and the requirement to have 5 days per week covered, we must be able to appoint two part time people both able to work either 2.5 days per week, or 2 days one week then 3 days the following week, in this recruitment round. If we are unable to do this the appointable candidate will only be offered full time hours.
