I'm excited to share that Carbon60 is working alongside the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer, in a unique opportunity for Skilled Aircraft Fitters.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings.
2. Complete tasks to the required standards.
3. General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing.
4. 1st party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses.
5. You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval-shaped manholes.
Essential Skills Needed:
1. Aerospace or Engineering Full Apprenticeship.
2. Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC ONC or Modern Apprenticeship Certificate, NVQ Level 2, 3, Key Skills level 2 and City & Guilds Level 2/BTEC ONC in a recognised engineering field.
3. Self-motivation with good communication skills.
4. An ability to work alone or as part of a team.
5. An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working.
6. Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards.
Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 6.30am to 3.45pm
Clearance: BPSS+ Clearance (Will be completed on site)
