We're on the lookout for a Commercial Manager to join us here within the Wholesale Team! This is an exciting role with excellent career progression opportunities for the right person! You'll support the profitable growth of Virgin Media Business (VMB) in line with long range plan (LRP) targets by providing high quality commercial support and governance. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to be included and lead on initiatives such as understanding proposals end to end, providing cross-function challenge and support to the wider bid team through creative thought leadership to drive higher win rates. The Commercial Manager will develop excellent customer understanding and be accountable for the commercial aspects of our customer propositions, ensuring compliance with our commercial strategy and governance rules and processes.
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
* Consistent record in a project based environment, working to defined and often challenging timescales with interdependency with other functions.
* Proven track record to handle a number of bids and customer opportunities at any one time and to work to tight timelines.
* Highly numerate (advanced Excel) plus confirmed financial modelling and analytical experience.
* Strong experience in a pricing or commercial finance role, ideally within the IT/Telecoms B2B market.
* Comfortable working in a product management/marketing or sales environment.
* A proficient knowledge of financial performance metrics e.g. margins, NPV, IRR, paybacks etc., and a proven track record to explain financial assumptions, models and investment appraisal.
