Role
Developing the Young Workforce plays a key part in the delivery of the Young Person’s Guarantee. We are employer-led and it is our priority to make it easier for employers to connect with young people in schools and colleges across Scotland. It’s a team effort to support young people to prepare for the world of work. Through DYW, employers can provide inspirational opportunities for young people to help them understand and develop the skills they need to succeed.

If you would like your working day to include activities like:
* Networking with the business community in our region to deliver the ambitions of DYW and the Young Person’s Guarantee
* Leading a team to co-create employability, enterprise and wider curriculum learning opportunities with employers, educators and partners
* Working in partnership to make things happen for young people
* Project Managing activities

* Relationship and account management with existing and new employers
* Managing people, monitoring performance and reporting
* Keeping up to date with labour market changes
* Collaborating and flying solo

This is a fixed term maternity cover role. You will be based in central Edinburgh with travel throughout our region. We are also accepting applications on a secondment basis.
The role is classed as ‘Regulated Work’: a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) membership is required (application to the scheme may be made by us upon conditional offer of the post).
