The role We’re seeking a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent role. As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead the design direction on key projects, demonstrating expertise in user-centred, outcome-focused design. You will be responsible for shaping the future of our client’s products and services by solving complex problems that balance user needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including researchers, Graphite partner or client development teams & stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions informed by data and insights. You’ll contribute to the growth of the design team by mentoring mid-level designers, refining processes, and helping to maintain and scale our design systems. As a senior team member, you will also play a role in shaping the strategy and operations of your squad. Your responsibilities Strategic Thinking: Shape the vision for key products and services, aligning design decisions with long-term business objectives and user needs. Design Leadership: Own the end-to-end design process, contributing to design systems and delivering impactful, high-quality solutions. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, lead workshops, and present your work effectively to clients and stakeholders. Mentorship and Team Development: Support the growth of mid-level designers and advocate for best practices across the squad. Process and Workflow Optimisation: Identify and implement improvements to team workflows and contribute to the evolution of design operations. Skills required Strategic Thinking: Deep understanding of product strategy, user needs, and industry trends, with the ability to inform long-term product roadmaps. Design Expertise: Extensive experience in UX, information architecture, and interaction design, with strong skills in prototyping and iterative development. Workshop Facilitation: Proven ability to lead workshops and brainstorming sessions, tailoring approaches to business needs and desired outcomes. Collaboration and Communication: Demonstrated ability to present work clearly, persuasively, and with confidence to senior stakeholders. Process and Systems Thinking: Experience maintaining and contributing to design systems and optimising design workflows. Figma Proficiency: Advanced skills in Figma, including design system components, responsive design, and prototyping. Creative Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative design work, highlighting your ability to solve complex problems and deliver visually appealing, innovative solutions. Desirable skills Experience working in regulated sectors such as Healthcare, Insurance, or Banking. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within multidisciplinary teams. Line management experience, with the ability to support and mentor team members effectively.
