The Company Our client is a major force with in the North East manufacturing sector. Due to growth, they are now recruiting for a Health, Safety and Environmental Officer initially on a 3-month contract. The Role Lead the problem-solving aspect of the HSE function within the company. Delivery and maintenance of the following management system aspects: Incident reporting. Fire prevention. COSHH. Asbestos management. Manual handling control. LOLER (third party inspections, servicing and examinations). Internal audits. PUWER (third party inspections, servicing and examinations). Legionella control. Continual improvement projects. Contractor management (safety). Health and safety inductions. Health and safety toolbox talks. The Person Must be a self-starter, capable of actively identifying HSE issues and then working them through to a successful conclusion. Must be able to manage time and workload. Experience of environmental, health and safety management in a similar organisation. Internal auditing experience. Good understanding of health and safety legal obligations.
