1. Develop design solutions to agreedtime, cost and quality in accordance with project or businessmilestones
Develop and manage requirements and acceptance criteriaspecific to a system or product and/or across a system of systems,platform or programme Understand the contractual and performance requirementsfor various systems, and support the definition and associatedacceptance criteria and events through design, build, integration,installation and commissioning activities Produce documentation required to support the designreview process, including: diagrams; technical specifications;supporting calculations; design evidence andjustifications Provide technical support to integrated performance andacceptance activities, including acceptance of equipment fromsuppliers through to system acceptance by thecustomer Review relevant supplier documentation and ensure it iscaptured and recorded appropriately Support the development of estimates for the scope ofwork and resources required to deliver it in order to support bids,proposal development and project planning activities for varioussystems Provide support to the Certificate of Design activitiesappropriate to the discipline and articulate and present complextechnical argument clearly, logically andsimply Deliver technical input and engineering solutions insupport of build activities, defect resolution and changemanagement
Your skills and experiences:
2. BEng (Hons) / MEng or equivalentand CEng (or be able to satisfy requirements forCEng)
Demonstrable experience of engineeringlifecycle Understanding of at least one of the following areas:Power system modelling; generators; switchgear; protection; powerelectronics In depth understanding of Power System Architecture,Power Generation and Distribution, Protection and Co-ordination orPower Earth Fault Monitoring Experience of working within a relevant Engineering roleto industry codes and standards

TheCoventry team: The team supportsthe Engineering Manager and external specialists during developmentand analysis of platform power systems. The Principal Engineershall act as team lead, managing the day-to-day activities of theteam and the production of deliverables. The Principal Engineershall be responsible for developing and maintaining the competencyand skills of the team, project plan and schedule projectactivities, while managing the resolution of any related issues.
