This is a Financial Planning and Analyst Role within the Operations Finance Team. Reporting to the Head of Finance for Water Operations. The role will work closely with the relevant Water Operations team. The key purpose of the role is to help in driving optimal performance whilst delivering best value for money in our Opex and larger Capex programme – as well as supporting Water Networks modelling and insight. What you’ll be doing as an FP&A Analyst Reporting & investigating variances to plan / last year Building and maintaining strong partnerships with the Field teams Providing insightful analysis that links business performance with financial results and which ensures effective commercial and operational decisions are made Working with the Management Accountants and Cost Planners as part of the monthly reporting cycle Work with other finance business partners and external parties to identify and share good practice Agreeing, tracking and driving business improvement initiatives Participate in Business Partner performance meetings, ensuring timely financial results are clearly communicated and understood whilst maintaining a forward-looking focus Supporting any Investment Committee Papers in regard to Budget and Actual cost analysis What you should bring to the role Ability to interact with leadership, key stakeholders and employees Ability to effectively prioritise multiple projects to meet deadlines and produce high quality work in a fast paced environment Ability to work well as part of a team but also take ownership to complete tasks independently Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE) or equivalent in experience What’s in it for you?
