The successful Field Service Engineer will be responsible for providing high-quality field-based technical expertise. The main element of this role will be to provide this high level of field-based support directly to customers within the UK.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment to the stated processes and procedures, which will also include the provision of on-site customer training where required.
* Carry out upgrades and refurbishments on customer site.
* Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
* Adapt to all types of environments and comply with local client's health and safety regulations.
* Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with company procedures.
* Cooperate by working overtime as and when required.
* Be part of the on-call standby rota system as required.
* Be prepared to learn a diverse set of products and continually improve product knowledge.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, we would love to speak to anyone who has experience of:
* Good Technical Electrical/Electronics skills.
* Minimum ONC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
* Ideally experience in a field service role and familiarity with all aspects of customer service including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
* PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware is an advantage.
