We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Portuguese speaking Human Resources Manager to join a successful manufacturing and export company. You will be responsible for all human resources operations for both their UK & Portugal based offices.
Location of the job
Hybrid work - UK office is in Cambridge, ideally 3 days a week in the office + 2 days a week work from home /remote.

Job responsibilities of the Portuguese speaking Human Resources Manager
As Portuguese speaking Human Resources Manager you will have 100% control of all employee HR operations for the office and manufacturing facility in Portugal as well as the UK office.
You role will typically include the following duties and responsibilities:
* Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
* Managing a company’s appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings
* Ensuring that a company’s procedures comply with employment regulations
* Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
* Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly
* Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances
* Setting and reviewing pay structures and employee perks and benefits
* Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK employment laws and regulations.
* Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including job analysis, job descriptions, job postings, and applicant screening and interviewing in accordance with UK employment law
* Manage employee relations issues in compliance with Portugal and UK employment law, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
* Complete Human Resource administrative tasks and maintain and update Human Resource related correspondence.
* Process work visa applications where necessary.
The successful candidate background
* Fluency in Portuguese and English is essential
* Previous HR management level experience in both the UK and Portugal
* Excellent knowledge of all employment law and HR related regulations relating to both Portugal and the UK
* Knowledge of payroll, compensation and benefits relating to both the UK and Portugal
* CIPD qualified advantage but not essential
* IT Proficient (including MS Office)
* Exceptional organisation skills
* Strong ability to prioritise workload
* Excellent attitude to work and colleagues
* Ability to travel to Portugal office when required
Salary, benefits and working hours
Negotiable - £45,000 - £55,000.
