Client Details: This Oxfordshire based organisation is a market leading manufacturer with several sites across the UK. With a strong commercial outlook, significant investment has been allocated to undergo an exciting period of transformation.
Description: Reporting into the Commercial & Operations Director, the Operations Manager will lead a team of approximately 100 via Team Leaders and Supervisors.
You will have full accountability for health and safety, manufacturing, quality & planning with the mandate to drive efficiencies and develop a high-performance culture. Longer term, this role will play a pivotal role in the transformation of the site, challenging all existing practices in pursuit of world-class manufacturing.
Day to day responsibilities will include:
1. Leading on best in class health and safety
2. Developing agility in the production plan
3. Driving a growth-oriented culture
4. Contributing to the long-term strategy of the site
Profile: The successful Operations Manager will possess the following:
1. A proven background in heavy engineering / large scale assembly
2. Demonstrable experience in developing efficiencies through systems and cultures
3. Exposure to manufacturing transformation and CAPEX delivery
4. An analytical approach, comfortable working with P&L
5. An ambitious approach with the drive to develop into a senior leadership role
