Job summary This post supports the breast and urological MDT's at New Cross Hospital Wolverhampton and Russell's Hall Hospital, Dudley The post holder will see approximately 100 new Breast and 100 urological patients a year. Secretarial support, designated office space and appropriate IT equipment will be provided. The post will be based at the New Cross Hospital and the patients will be seen in clinics at New Cross Hospital and will be treated at New Cross Hospital for radiotherapy and systemic treatments. The successful candidate will be expected to work with professional colleagues and local managers to provide an Oncology service to Wolverhampton and Russells Hall hospitals. The principal duties of the post will include: Provision of a Clinical Oncology service for breast and urological cancers for Wolverhampton and Russells Hall Hospital; Participation departmental meetings Participation in the multidisciplinary team meetings relevant to the post Main duties of the job In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to provide a service in Clinical Oncology with responsibility for breast and urological cancers. In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to play a full part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department. This includes being on-call for telephone advice and major incidents. To provide cover for Consultant and Senior colleagues in respect of periods of leave. In conjunction with Consultant and Senior colleagues, to take part in medical audit and research as appropriate.
