Commercial Marketing Manager
Location: Hillview Road, Belfast
Hybrid Role: 3 Days in Office / 2 days work from home

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Marketing Manager to play a key role in driving the growth and market presence of a diverse and expanding product portfolio. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behavior, and commercial acumen to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies that align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Portfolio Management
* With the support of the Marketing Director, lead the creation and development of the brand portfolio, including new brand development and overall brand architecture, ensuring alignment with company vision and market needs.
* Collaborate with external agencies to oversee branding, design, and packaging of products, ensuring consistency with brand identity and appeal to target consumers.
* Manage new product development from ideation to launch, working closely with technical and product development teams to ensure alignment with brand strategy and consumer expectations.
* Develop and implement channel, pricing, and promotional strategies to drive trial and rate of sale.
2. Principal Brand Management
* Act as the primary contact for agency brands across the business, managing day-to-day communication with brand owners and fostering strong working relationships.
* Prepare and deliver monthly reports to principals, covering key performance metrics, customer updates, activation summaries, market insights, and strategic recommendations.
* Serve as the brand champion within the business, ensuring alignment and integration of brand plans across all customers and teams.
3. Brand Management
* Oversee the development and positioning of brands to enhance market visibility and consumer loyalty.
* Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and materials.
* Manage the creation and execution of through-the-line (TTL) marketing campaigns, including trade, shopper, social & digital, print, and experiential marketing.
* Work closely with technical and product development teams to align marketing strategies with new product launches, monitor product performance, and leverage market feedback for continuous improvement.
* Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that include shopper, trade, and consumer activations.
* Conduct market research where necessary to measure performance, identify opportunities, and track competitor activity.
4. Collaboration with Sales Team
* Partner with the sales team to develop strategic customer marketing plans that enhance brand visibility, rate of sale, and profitability.
* Create tools, presentations, and promotional materials to support sales efforts.
* Ensure sales teams are consistently informed about brand developments, attending commercial meetings and presenting brand performance updates.
* Participate in customer sales meetings as needed, assisting in the development of presentations to communicate key brand messages.
5. Performance Analysis
* Analyze and report on brand performance down to the customer and SKU level, identifying gaps and opportunities for growth.
* Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
* Generate regular reports and insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize marketing efforts.
6. Budget Management
* Prepare and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
* Track and report on brand performance, marketing expenditure, and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a commercial marketing or trade marketing role, preferably within FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries.
* Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* Proficiency in marketing and data tools, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), CRM software, digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
* Proven experience in multi-brand management, demonstrating strong creative and strategic thinking, excellent communication and collaboration skills, data-driven decision-making, and exceptional attention to detail.
