Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Facilities Manager to join our team based in Exeter. As a key member of the Facilities Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of essential services that contribute to the smooth running of our facilities and the well-being of all our staff and patients. We are looking form someone who has the following Experience in facilities management, with a strong understanding of cleaning, waste, pest control, and catering services. Proven track record in line management and team leadership. Strong knowledge of tendering processes and managing relationships with contractors and suppliers. Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. A proactive and solution-focused approach to facilities management. Main duties of the job Coordinating Cleaning Services: Oversee the provision of high-quality cleaning services to ensure that all Trust facilities meet hygiene and infection control standards. Pest Control Management: Coordinate pest control services to maintain a clean and safe environment for staff and patients. Waste Management: Ensure the effective management of waste disposal, including hazardous and clinical waste, in compliance with relevant regulations and Trust policies. Catering Services: Supervise the catering services, ensuring that nutritional needs are met and standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained. Line Management: Manage and support a team of Facilities staff, providing leadership, training, and development to ensure high performance. Tendering Process: Manage the tendering process for contracts and services, ensuring value for money, compliance, and quality of service delivery. Contractor and Supplier Relationships: Lead relationships with external contractors and suppliers, ensuring service delivery meets Trust requirements and contractual agreements. Deputy Function: Provide support to the Head of Facilities in their absence, ensuring the continuation of high standards and service provision across all areas of facilities management.
