We are recruiting a full-time and permanent Accounts Assistant working 8.30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday, to support our Purchase Ledger Clerk with review and processing of incoming emails and invoices and supporting our team of Assistant Accountants with administrative tasks. If successful, you’ll be joining a friendly, focused, supportive and professional team.
The successful candidate will become part of the success of a company which is making a real difference to the UK’s circular economy and to the fight to reduce the impact of global climate change.
The Duties
* Review and action emails received into the finance department shared mailbox
* Support coding and matching supplier invoices; requesting goods receipts for open purchase orders, obtaining authorisation for invoices requiring direct approval
* Address queries effectively and in a timely manner
* Reconcile supplier statements
* Support with control of stock and fixed assets Support with purchase ledger housekeeping tasks by closing aged purchase orders
* Support with administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
What we’re looking for
* A health and safety champion, you will lead safety performance Good telephone and communication abilities
* The ability to manage changing and conflicting priorities
* GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent
* Strong IT skills
