A small specialist school in Basingstoke is looking for a Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated team. This school provides a fresh start for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated behaviours, supporting them to re-engage with education and prepare for a return to mainstream schooling.
About the Role:
* Work closely with students with SEMH needs, offering tailored support to help them re-engage with learning.
* Provide calm and consistent guidance, helping pupils manage their emotions and behaviours effectively.
* Support teachers in delivering lessons and adapting strategies to suit individual student needs.
* Help create a positive, structured environment where students can develop confidence and resilience.
Who We Are Looking For:
* A passionate, energetic, and patient individual with a strong interest in education.
* Someone with experience working with young people, ideally in education, sports, or a related setting.
* Experience supporting children with complex backgrounds, medical conditions, or mental health challenges is desirable.
* A team player who can build strong, supportive relationships with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
