Manager, Fleet
Job Purpose:
To lead the fleet technical topics affecting aircraft availability and operational issues, ensuring the balance between performance and cost while maintaining the highest standard of safety for SAUDIA fleet.
Managerial Accountabilities:
Strategy Formation and Implementation
Participate in the development and refinement of division’s strategy in line with the SBU vision and strategy and contribute to the overall process of corporate management and decision making to ensure the organization maximizes its short-, medium- and long-term profitability and returns to its shareholders.
Leadership and Direction
* Provide overall direction for the effective achievement of the division objectives through effective leadership and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating team to maximize performance.
* Collaborate with the colleagues in the Executive Leadership community, to synergize efforts across Air Transport for the successful achievement of strategic objectives.
Organization Structure
* Together with Holding’s human capital function and Head of the division provide inputs in order to design an optimum organization structure and direct the development of the Information Technology structures so that resources are optimally utilized, and communication can take place in an efficient manner.
Budgeting and Financial Performance
* Direct the preparation and consolidation of the division budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues; areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
* Direct the development and oversee the implementation of the division policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls covering all areas of function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
Job Specific Accountabilities
* Ensure compliance with all relevant airworthiness and safety regulations and requirements to ensure smooth aircraft technical operations.
* Support SMS program and ensure compliance with Safety SPIs.
* Oversee Saudia’s aircraft performance against the targets established by Saudia for aircraft availability, TDR etc.
* Provide technical recommendations to maximize fleet availability, technical dispatch reliability, on-time performance, and maintainability, while optimizing maintenance cost.
* Review Reliability data and event reports along with transversal engineering domains to determine effective corrective and preventive solutions.
* Collaborate with all internal stakeholders, e.g., Technical Services, Flight Operations, Network Planning, Procurement, etc., and external stakeholders, e.g., OEMs, Vendors, MROs, Service Providers, etc., to ensure fleet performance delivery.
* Responsible for predictive engineering functions for the fleet.
* Adopt Corporate and SV Technical Services policy, procedures, and strategies.
* Contribute towards departmental budget preparation.
* Implement new technologies and concepts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.

Safety, Quality and Environment
* Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the division to guarantee employee and assets safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering / Technology in Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent discipline, or Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licensed on relevant fleet type.
* Minimum 9 years of experience in relevant role, in which 3 years in leadership role.
