Job description Job Title: Facilities Engineer (Multi-Skilled) A new opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Engineer (Multi-Skilled) at a well-established company. Role Overview: This role is responsible for maintaining office, factory, and associated facilities to the highest standards. The successful candidate will ensure the building infrastructure and fabric are well-maintained and that ancillary equipment operates efficiently. The role also involves liaising with contractors and supervising apprentices. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and protect the building infrastructure, fabric, and ancillary equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using schematics, drawings, and PC-based diagnostics. Liaise with external facilities contractors as needed. Provide mentorship and support to apprentices. Essential Skills & Experience: Minimum of three years of recent experience in Facilities Maintenance or as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to prioritize workloads under pressure. IPAF / PASMA and forklift truck qualifications (training will be provided). Must be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full, clean driving licence. Desirable Qualifications & Experience: HNC, HND, or degree-level education in a relevant field. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (e.g., ONC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, BTEC Level 3). 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (IEE Qualification). Knowledge of hydraulic systems and principles (training available). Welding and fabrication experience/qualifications. Experience in industrial doors and loading bay systems. Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 16:30 (37.5 hours per week).
