Job Description
Key Responsibilities:\n\n * Manage a portfolio of global raw material suppliers, including order book control, capacity planning, and supplier performance.\n\n * Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes to ensure competitive bids and supply security.\n\n * Support supplier consolidation and improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve delivery (OTIF) and quality (RFT).\n\n * Handle purchasing tasks via MRP: creating POs, rescheduling, cancellations, and spot buys.\n\n * Develop and maintain KPIs for projects and processes.\n\n * Support and back up the Subcontract Buyer (Subcon), including raising and expediting orders.\n\n * Negotiate pricing and manage long-term agreements with suppliers.\n\n * Lead export/import processes and act as the company’s go-to expert on this.\n\n * Drive continuous cost improvements and stock reduction strategies.\n\nRequirements:\n\nEssential:\n\n * Previous supply chain experience\n\n * CIPS qualified\n\n * Strong written and spoken English\n\n * Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills\n\n * Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail\n\n * Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)\n\n * Able to work independently and in a team\n\n * Professional and commercially minded\n\nDesirable:\n\n * Experience in engineering or highly regulated manufacturing industries\n\nPersonal Attributes:\n\n * Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive\n\n * Process-oriented with a problem-solving mindset\n\n * Flexible and enthusiastic
