Welcome & Service Assistant - Falmouth Summary INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: 11.88 per hour This is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process. Contract/duration: 9 months Fixed Term Contract Hours/working pattern: This role is an hourly paid, fixed term role. Wherever possible we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we’re looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We’d give you as much notice of this as possible. Saturday and Sunday working is required every week. Typical weekly shifts will differ from 3 to 5 days a week at peak times. Glendurgan Garden is open from mid February to November, and all your working hours will be between these dates. A typical working day is 10:15-17:15. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide outstanding service to all our visitors every time. You will have brilliant conversations, and will confidently talk about membership and gift aid on entry, as well as work to our reaching Growing Support targets. You will be responsible for inspiring people to become supporters of our work. When interacting with our customers, you’ll inform them of the amazing work we are doing and what their money is funding, promoting local projects and our national strategy. It's a fast-paced environment and you will be working between the welcome building & car park, and championing fundraising through our second hand bookshop and fish cellar. You will work alongside a fantastic, hard-working team of staff and volunteers.
