Receptionist - Administrator based at Whitley Health and Social Services Centre, Reading. Full time 37.5 hours/week Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 We look forward to welcoming an administrator/receptionist to our friendly team. The Administration and Clerical team are the first point of contact for patients accessing our services and are valued staff members that are fundamental in supporting the clinical staff. If you are efficient in prioritising your own workload, working flexibly across roles, supporting others learning within a team and enjoy patient contact, and liaising with outside agencies, this role could be for you. Other tasks will include but not limited to document management and dealing with incoming post and queries. You will also have a responsibility for supporting the Clinicians with the organisation of their clinical and patient related activities, including room bookings as needed. To be responsible for managing the Reception and administrative tasks relating to the Whitley Health and Social Services Centre, assisting the Team Leads and Operational Managers in the overall smooth running of the site and its services. This includes responding to telephone calls, manning reception, reporting jobs via the appropriate helpdesks, working closely with the Estates and Facilities Teams and NHSPS. To be responsible for the receiving of patient referrals, scanning and inputting details onto the patient record system - in a timely and accurate manner. To be responsible for dealing with patients, the public, General Practitioner, or other Health Professionals enquiries and always maintain a helpful and professional approach. To be the first point of contact for welcoming patients attending Building. This includes allaying fears and anxieties that patients may have and organising on-going appointments. To be based at the Whitley Health and Social Services Centre, but the post-holder may need to support across Berkshire Healthcare, particularly Erlegh House. When cover for annual leave, sickness, and other service requirements may be needed. To communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
