Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
Applications are welcome for the above two Permanent, full time and part time posts based in St Johns Hospital / Pennywell All Care Centre.
Post Summary:
1. In collaboration with multidisciplinary team to provide a mental health service for children (0-18 age range) with mental health problems referred to Tier 3 services.
2. To provide clinical supervision to higher and core trainees.
3. To participate in audit of the clinical services for which you work.
4. To play a role in the implementation of Lothian’s Joint Strategy for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and the CAMHS development strategy.
5. To provide reciprocal cover for medical colleagues during periods of annual, professional, or short-term sick leave.
6. To undertake duties as an Approved Medical Practitioner under the terms of the Mental Health Care and Treatment (Scotland) Act 2003.
7. To undertake duties for the wider service in accordance with agreed job plan.
8. Other duties arising from time to time in consultation with the Clinical Director and Clinical Service Manager.
