The Adult College is recruiting a part-time Sewing Tutor. This is an exciting opportunity to join our hardworking and successful team to provide a high-quality provision of teaching to our learners and residents.
The roles involve planning, delivery, assessment, and review, providing educational advice and guidance (IAG), alongside course development. They will involve working independently as well as contributing as part of a team. Hours for each role will be fractional with courses usually offered over 2-3 hour sessions a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for course planning and preparation, marking and evaluation of learners’ work, assessment, and feedback. You will be expected to deliver courses in person and be adaptable enough to use MS Teams online. Delivery may involve a flexible timetable, across different sites, offering accredited and non-accredited courses, ranging from complete beginners to qualification courses. The primary delivery will be at beginner and intermediate level and cover hand sewing and machine sewing.
You must hold a recognised teaching qualification (E&T Level 3 as a minimum, or equivalent) as well as English and Maths at Level 2 and a subject-specific qualification or equivalent experience.
