The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary. Reporting to the engineering manager, you’ll deliver planned maintenance and repair to specialist engineering systems. Day-to-day, you’ll be ensuring the safe operation of the equipment in accordance with company and legislative standards. Analysing system reliability, weaknesses and failures you will use your engineering expertise to provide recommended improvements / best practices to systems maximising operational availability.
Your Responsibilities
1. Being “first responder” to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
2. Implementing the generation of a preventative maintenance strategy based on previous technical experience.
3. Being vigilant around the facilities and spotting issues before they cause a breakdown.
4. Analysing downtime data looking for trends in breakdowns, suggesting/implementing fixes to improve the availability of facilities.
5. In cases where equipment requires specialist maintenance, you will provide technical advice to the Engineering Manager quickly to call in a suitable support contractor.
This role is 37 hours per week based at Shoeburyness.

You must have extensive experience in a Mechanical Maintenance role.
