The MI Analyst is responsible for:
* Supporting the Business Improvement Manager in developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of financial and contract efficiency business insight needs and objectives across the WJ Group.
* Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis, combining multiple sources and systems to support business decisions, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights.
* Interrogate business reporting systems: Develop a thorough understanding of company data systems and reporting tools and share insights across the group.
* Develop dashboards and reporting: Develop a suite of interactive and informative dashboards in Power BI to support sharing of business intelligence and decision making.
* Communication: Regularly prepare and present reports and data to a wide range of audiences with different levels of data maturity and needs. Support development of training materials and user guides to ensure users understand and get the most out of MI produced.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in the capture, management and use of data.
* Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and work with them to develop their datasets to meet their objectives and goals.
What you will bring to the team:
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in core Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and data analysis tools including Power BI (essential), IFS Business reporter (desirable).
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex data sets and simplify them to be used by stakeholders across the business.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
* Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with teams across the business.
* Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
* Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business needs and manage multiple priorities. Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Preferably previous experience in a contracting, operational or manufacturing industry.

This role will be hybrid working with a requirement to be in the Stoke office at least two days a week, with regular travel to Milton Keynes and other depots. Ideally, candidates should be based within a commutable distance of Stoke and Milton Keynes for ease of travel.
