Scope:
The Service Delivery Manager (SDM) plays a pivotal role in Akkodis' newly launched technical delivery team, which drives a UK national program aimed at transforming and future-proofing the central government’s workforce. This initiative leverages cutting-edge technology, strategic partnerships, and a comprehensive SaaS-based platform to create an advanced, candidate-centric experience tailored to meet the evolving skill demands of the public sector.
This high-impact program offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team building a scalable, data-driven recruitment ecosystem. By redesigning, building, and deploying a sophisticated Big Data system, the SDM ensures seamless coordination and delivery across diverse roles, including architecture, project management, data analytics, development, and technical support. The focus is on establishing a next-generation digital infrastructure that drives innovation and efficiency, enabling the delivery of a transformative workforce.
Role:
Acting as the primary interface between internal technical teams and key stakeholders, the SDM fosters collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions while adhering to contractual obligations and project timelines. In addition to managing ongoing projects, the SDM scopes and defines new work packages, refines technical requirements, and supports tenders and bid submissions to secure future opportunities. Maintaining client satisfaction, resolving issues, and mitigating risks are central to ensuring the program’s success and supporting Akkodis' growth in IT and digital services.
The SDM also leads direct line management, focusing on team development through performance reviews, addressing skills gaps, and implementing tailored professional development plans. By mentoring and coaching, the SDM drives continuous improvement, aligning team growth with organisational objectives to maintain a skilled, motivated workforce and ensure sustained success in delivering cutting-edge IT and digital solutions.
