Milton Keynes University Hospitals NHS Trust is a medium sized, level 2 trauma facility, comprising approximately 500 beds.
We require a proactive and hardworking employee to work as part of our Theatre Support team.
This is a challenging and demanding post – the successful candidate must be confident, approachable, and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. You need to be customer focused and be able to communicate with staff at all levels; external and internal.
Applicants must be physically fit and able to carry heavy loads. The role requires you to be active for prolonged periods of time. All mandatory training will be provided as well as on the job training.

• Timelyandaccurateliaisonwiththewardsandrecoveryunitswithinformation regarding changesin orderofoperatinglistsoranaestheticinstructions,e.g.,patienthydration
• Ensurepatientsaretransferred safelyfromwardtothetheatre suite,maintaining their comfortand dignity at all times.
• Assistingwiththesafepositioningofpatientsforoperativeprocedures
• Assistinpreparingthetheatreforalloperatingsessions.
• Participateininhousetrainingandteachingsessions.
• To adhere to Trust policies and procedures
• Participate, as requested in audits and surveys within the department.
• To complete relevant documentation as required such as completing cleaning logs, monitoring of fluid warmers, maintaining pathology records.
• Able to organise own workload with minimal supervision.
