We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic social worker for maternity cover within our Children’s Disability Team. We are looking for someone who is able to work as part of a team and with autonomy. An experience working with Children with Disabilities would be desirable.
Within the Social Worker role your work will include: Supporting children and families through Child in Need planning, Child Protection planning and Children in Care statutory planning. Undertaking assessments and initial Contact/Referrals to ensure that children are safe and supported. This could include Needs Assessments relating to Children with additional needs. Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team including police, health, SEND and adult social care. Advocating for children and young people to ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Participating in regular supervision and team meetings to support reflective practice and professional growth. The successful candidate must be a qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England or be preparing to register following a completion of a recognised Social Work qualification.
