Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting experienced Qualified Social Workers to join a busy team at a Durham based within the Child Protection team at the daily rate of 239.43 (Umbrella) and £181.02 (PAYE). To be successful in this role you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, and have post-qualified experience. Primary Responsibilities as a Child Protection Social Worker: Case Management: Conduct assessments and investigations related to child protection cases Develop and implement care plans for children and families Collaborate with other professionals, including parents, social workers, and legal representatives Attend court hearings and provide evidence when necessary Safeguarding: Maintain a child-centered approach, ensuring the welfare and safety of every child. Apply knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulations. Identify risks and take appropriate actions to protect children from harm Assessment and Reporting: Assess family dynamics, risk factors, and protective factors. Write clear and concise reports, including assessments, case notes, and court reports. Participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to child protection plans. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including other social workers, health professionals, and educators. Liaise with external agencies, such as police, schools, and health services. Provide support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices. Attend training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities. Uphold professional standards and adhere to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration requirements. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Qualified in a recognized social work degree (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
