The RMO will be covering out of hours on call (5pm-9am and 9am-9am), working 5 days per week with access to Consultant advice.
On calls are completed from home but the post holder would be required to come into the service as needed, so the ability to travel is essential.

As Resident Medical Officer, you'll play a crucial role providing on call cover for Cygnet Nield House. This is our is our 29-bed mental health hospital for women.
Cygnet Nield House is split into two distinct wards, each offering specialist mental health services:
Clarion Ward, a 14 bed complex personality disorder service for women with a dual diagnosis of personality disorder and co-morbid disordered eating. Compton Ward, a 15 bed acute service for women. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for women who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.
You'll be covering out of hours on call (5pm-9am and 9am-9am), working 5 days per week with access to Consultant advice.

We are looking for someone who is...
20. Fully GMC registered & MBBS (or equivalent) qualified
21. An excellent clinical decision maker, with sound judgement, the ability to manage risk & know when to ask for help
22. Preferably experienced in Psychiatry
23. Able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
24. A first-rate communicator who can interview, assess & treat patients & write clear, comprehensive medical notes
25. Committed to continued professional development
