We currently have an opportunity for an experienced People Experience Advisor to join our People Team based in Exeter or Bristol, with travel to our sites across Devon,Cornwall,Bristol,Bournemouth and Surrey.You will receive a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum plus excellent benefits. About the role: The People Experience Advisor is a pivotal role within the People function, providing crucial support to the Head of People in managing the tactical aspects of HR operations. This role requires a high level of collaboration with both the Head of HR and colleagues within the People Service Centre, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of HR services across the organisation. They will act as a point of contact for managers and employees on day-to-day HR matters, and will play a key role in executing HR processes, policies, and initiatives.This role provides a great opportunity for an HR professional to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while supporting a wide range of HR activities.The People Experience Advisor will be instrumental in ensuring HR services are delivered efficiently and in alignment with organisational objectives.
What you will be doing:
1. Act as a point of contact for HR-related queries from managers and employees, offering timely and practical advice on HR policies, procedures, and employment law.
2. Support the Head of HR in implementing HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organisation’s objectives.
3. Provide guidance and coaching to managers.
4. Oversee key HR processes, where needed.
5. Work in collaboration with the HR Service Centre on employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accurate and timely HR data management.
6. Assist with workforce planning, headcount management, and the development of HR metrics and reports.
7. Work closely with HR colleagues to support employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and feedback programs.
8. Work alongside the HR Service Centre and Centres of Excellence to manage employee data, ensuring that HR systems are kept up-to-date with accurate employee information.
9. Analyse HR data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improving HR processes and employee experience.
10. Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving HR issues, and ensure that the HR centres of excellence have the necessary resources and information to deliver high-quality service.
11. Assist the Head of HR with the implementation of HR projects, from the planning stage through to delivery, ensuring that key milestones are met and projects are executed efficiently.
What we are looking for:
12. Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex HR concepts to employees at all levels.
14. Ability to manage and resolve HR-related issues, with a practical and solutions-focused approach.
15. Ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate with stakeholders across the business, particularly with HR Service Centre colleagues.
16. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that HR processes are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
17. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
18. Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office tools, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
19. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
20. CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification or equivalent (preferred).
21. Previous experience in an HR advisory or operational HR role, with a strong understanding of tactical HR support.
22. Experience working with HR systems and managing HR administrative processes.
