Job summary We are recruiting to three Advanced Social Work Practitioner posts, one to each of our Adult Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) 1 x Cromwell House in Eccles 1 x Ramsgate House in Broughton 1 x Prescott House in Little Hulton. This is a great opportunity to work within Salford, a diverse and vibrant city, within our integrated and multi-disciplinary community mental health services. These teams are based at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH) where the mental health social work function is delivered in accordance with local integrated arrangements between Salford City Council, Northern Care Alliance and GMMH. You will provide positive leadership and support to social work staff and ensure the delivery of effective services for adults experiencing a range of severe and enduring mental health conditions. The post holder will lead on the delivery of statutory social care functions at the CMHT in accordance with the Care Act (2014), Mental Health Act (1983, as amended), Mental Capacity Act (2005) and other relevant legislation. You will need to model effective practice in complex situations, providing a strengths based and person centred approach while managing identified risks. You will need to network with a wide range of professionals and other colleagues, promote a culture of professional curiosity and contribute to the positive social work identity within the organisation. Main duties of the job Provide consultation and guidance with respect to complex social care practice issues to care coordinators and other staff within the team. Assist the Team Manager in providing effective social care leadership and ensuring high standards of practice.Support and provide supervision to social workers working in the CMHT. Carry out social work duties and interventions in relation to complex cases, requiring high levels of skill, knowledge and professional expertise.
