JOB PURPOSE: The Dev Ops Engineer provides support for the design, build, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of sales-i’s Dev Ops environments and pipelines that underpin our SaaS products. You will do this working closely with our talented Tech Ops, Dev, Data Engineering and QA teams.
Key Result Areas
1. Create, implement, maintain and build the monitoring for our new Azure and GitHub Dev Ops environments and build/deploy pipelines.
2. Migrate and upgrade existing Azure (and other) pipelines with the goal to achieve as-close-to full CI/CD automation for the existing sales-i service.
3. Maintain and enhance the new GitHub pipelines for the sales-i service.
4. Define and maintain DevOps best practices and standards.
5. Quickly and clearly identify and investigate issues through to resolution.
6. Identify and recommend solutions that benefit sales-i and ultimately our customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
7. Work with the Tech Ops and Development team to develop the GitHub Dev Ops pipelines for new SaaS products.
8. Develop processes for optimising, improving and migrating the existing Azure (and non Azure) based pipelines for existing products.
9. Set and maintain the environment, build and deployment standards.
10. Manage Azure Dev Ops environment (including roles and permissions)
11. Performance tuning of pipelines.
12. Diagnose and troubleshoot pipeline and environment issues.
13. Work with QA team to integrate their test automation into the CI pipelines.
Dimensions
14. Business is conducted via phone, email and online meetings.
15. The Dev, Tech Ops and QA teams are mainly based in the UK, with customers around the globe.
16. Deployments will be to multi-geo locations and time zones.
17. An ability to operate independently is essential given the time difference between our offices.
