Electrical Design Engineer – Reading – 12 Month Contract (37.5 hours per week, 9 day fortnight) – £450 - £550 per day (Inside IR35) – DV or SC Clearance
Our client is looking for a skilled design engineer to provide electrical or control and instrumentation design expertise. You will be responsible for producing nuclear facility designs and ensuring legislation compliance throughout the facility lifecycle.
This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days on site per week. This role has a 9-day working fortnight, with every other Friday off.

The Key Responsibilities of a Electrical Design Engineer:
* Deliver electrical/control and instrumentation designs that meet requirements.
* Keep informed and updated on electrical engineering standards and legislations.
* Deliver electrical / control and instrumentation designs that address defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard.
* Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle by liaising with multi-discipline areas.
* Ensure compliance with Company Assurance Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) and statutory requirements.
Below is a list of Key Skills required for the Electrical Design Engineer role, however you will not be expected to have everything:
* ONC/OND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline.
* HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline.
* Working knowledge of legislation and standards applicable to electrical engineering.
* Competent in standard office software, and engineering tools and applications.
* Knowledge of legislation and standards associated with nuclear and/or high hazard facilities.
* Experience in producing control and instrumentation designs as part of a multi-discipline design team.
* Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
