Due to growth and expansion, a leading engineering group has a new vacancy for a Purchasing Manager. The successful candidate be responsible for developing and executing the sourcing strategy, managing the purchasing team, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. Candidates are sought with experience working in fast-paced manufacturing and a proven track record in a senior supply chain leadership role. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all procurement & purchasing activities, ensuring best practise and timely & cost-effective solutions. Lead, manage and mentor a team of Buyers, promoting a culture of excellence & continuous improvement. Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with the companys objectives. Negotiate contracts terms and supplier agreements. Manage supplier relationships and ensure high levels of quality and service. Analyse market trends and supplier performance to drive cost-effective purchasing decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals. Instil a positive team culture and ethos. Implement and improve procurement strategies for maximum efficiency. The Person Proven experience at a senior level in Supply Chain and Purchasing. Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent leadership and influencing skills. Experienced in negotiating and setting up supplier agreements and contracts. Hands on and lead from the front approach. Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities. In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and procurement best practices.
